If you are a Disney snack fan then you are in for a treat at Disneyland California! As well as its awesome rides, wonderful shows and fabulous characters, Disneyland California has a huge selection of delicious snacks to try. From Monte Cristos to churros and beignets to lumpia, here’s our guide to the best snacks at Disneyland Park, California!
Best Snacks at Disneyland California: There are so many incredible snacks across both Disneyland Park and Disneyland California Adventure that we decided to make separate lists for each park. This post only includes snacks from Disneyland Park, you can check out our guide to the best snacks in Disney California Adventure!
1 | Mickey Beignets
Location: Mint Julep Bar, New Orleans Square
Menu Description: Mickey Shaped Beignets topped with powdered sugar
Mobile Order: Yes
The Mint Julep Beignets are one of the cutest snacks in Disneyland California! Served in bags of 3 or 6, the deep-fried donuts are soft and fluffy and delicious. They are served warm with a very generous helping of powdered sugar.
2 | Jolly Holiday Combo
Location: Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, Main Street U.S.A.
Menu Description: Toasted Cheese Sandwich with Tomato Basil Soup
Mobile Order: Yes
It doesn’t sound very exciting but this toasted cheese sandwich with tomato soup is incredible!
The lightly grilled cheese sandwich is served on sourdough bread and the tomato soup is creamy with the basil a nice addition. Together, they make for an amazing snack!
3 | Alien Macarooooon
Location: Alien Pizza Planet, Tomorrowland
Menu Description: Green Alien Macaron filled with Salted Caramel Buttercream, Chocolate Ganache and Brownie Bits|
Mobile Order: Yes
The Alien Macarooooon (yes, it’s spelled macarooooon in a nod to the alien’s ‘ooooo’ in Toy Story!) is the most adorable snack in Disneyland California! It’s also extremely tasty!
The green alien macaroon is perfectly proportioned and the macaron shell is chewy with a crisp exterior. The rich chocolate filling is a nice contrast to the green shells.
Between this and Raspberry Rose Mickey Macaron in Jolly Holiday Cafe, it’s fair to say that Disneyland California has got its macaron game down!
4 | Dole Whip
Location: The Tropical Hideaway, Adventureland
Menu Description: DOLE Whip® Soft Serve (Strawberry, Pineapple, Mango or swirl any two flavors)
Mobile Order: No
An iconic Disneyland snack, a Dole Whip is a soft-serve frozen dessert that gives us all the tropical vibes in Adventureland!
The Dole Whip is available in three flavors – strawberry, pineapple, and mango – and can be served float style with Pineapple juice. There’s also a two-version swirl version which we love!
The fruit-flavored Dole Whips are dairy-free (make sure to check when you purchase) – it’s not always easy to find vegan ice cream at the parks so they get huge bonus points as our dairy-free kid is a huge fan!
5 | Monte Cristo Waffle (New Snack Alert!)
Location: Royal Street Veranda (available between 8am and 10am only)
Menu Description: Rosemary Ham, Turkey, and Swiss Waffle dusted in Powdered Sugar served with a side of Strawberry Preserves and Maple Syrup
Mobile Order: Yes
The Monte Cristo Sandwich from Cafe Orleans and Blue Bayou has long been a Disneyland must-eat. However, at the end of 2023, a new Monte-Cristo arrived in town!
Available in full and half-order sizes, there is a generous filling of ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese.
A breakfast treat, the Monte Cristo Waffle is only available between 8am and 10am daily. If you miss it, make sure to check out the Monte Cristo Sandwiches in Blue Bayou and Cafe Orleans (reservations are required for both).
6 | Churros
Location: Various Churro Carts
A Disneyland staple since they were introduced in 1985, churros are widely available throughout the park. There are churro carts located across the two parks and there are a variety of flavours available from the original cinnamon and churro churro to the speciality churros that change regularly.
7 | Lumpia
Location: The Tropical Hideaway, Adventureland
Mobile Order: No
Lumpia is one of our favorite snacks in both Disneyland and Disney World! The spring roll-style snack comes in two flavors: a savory pork lumpia and a sweet lumpia filled with Pineapple and Cream Cheese. Both come with a dipping sauce.
Both are excellent options: I love the pork lumpia and Dave loves the sweet lumpia which is reminiscent of the incredible Pongu Lumpia from Animal Kingdom.
8 | Safari Skewer
Location: Bengal BBQ, Adventure
Menu Description: Bacon-wrapped Asparagus
Mobile Ordering: Yes
Benegal BBQ serves up a variety of excellent skewers and the Safari is our favorite. It’s made up of six pieces of asparagus wrapped in bacon and the flavor is great.
If you want to make a meal of it, you can upgrade to a Bengal Rice plate which includes two regular Skewers of your choice served on a bed of Jasmine Rice with a side of Citrus-Miso Slaw.
9 | Cold Brew Black Caf
Location: Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Menu Description: Cold Brew Coffee topped with Sweet Cream Cheese and Chocolate Puffs
Mobile Order: Yes
This cold brew is an interesting mix of sweet and crunchy and somehow the cream cheese and chocolate puffs balance each other perfectly. Each sip is a delight with the sweetness of the cream cheese canceling out the bitterness of the cold brew with the bonus of chocolate puffs to munch on in between!
Best snacks Disneyland California: sometimes I like to order the cold brew black caf without ice as it’s easier to drink (and it’s kind of disappointing to bite down on a piece of ice when you really want a chocolate puff!). It doesn’t look as pretty this way as the glass is only partially filled to allow for the lack of ice!
10 | Beef Birria Toasted Cheese
Location: Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, Main Street U.S.A.
Menu Description: Beef Birra Toasted Cheese with Pepper Jack, Onion, Cilantro and Salsa Verde on Sourdough, served with Consommé
Mobile Order: Yes
After a seasonal absence, the Jolly Holiday Beef Birra Toasted Sandwich returned to the menu in 2024 and we couldn’t be happier!
The Beef Birra Toasted Sandwich is served on perfectly toasted sourdough filled with a generous portion of shredded beef. The Pepper cheese and salsa give it a nice twist. It’s served with Consomme on the side which makes a nice dipping sauce.
11 | Cocktails at Oga’s Catina
Location: Oga’s Cantina, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Mobile Order: no, reservations are required (or join the walk-up line)
Oga’s Cantina is the hottest reservation in Galaxy’s Edge! The dimly lit watering hole has music courtesy of droid DJ R-3X, a former Starspeeder 3000 pilot, and the theming is beyond this world!
The cocktails are fabulous and Oga’s Catina is one of only two locations (Blue Bayou is the other) to grab a cocktail in Disneyland Park.
12 | Corn Dog
Location: Stage Door Cafe, Frontierland
Mobile Order: Yes
Corn dogs are another Disneyland classic! These hand-dipped, deep-fried corn-battered sausages from the Stage Door Cafe are delicious!
13 | New Orleans Mint Julep
Location: Mint Julep Bar, New Orleans Square
Menu Description: a refreshing Mint Drink with a hint of Lime flavor (Mint Juleps are non-alcoholic)
Mobile Order: Yes
The New Orleans Mint Julep is a refreshing blend of mint, lime and ice and is a signature Disneyland drink. It’s best accompanied with some Mickey-shaped Beignets, which of course feature on this list!
Best Snacks in Disneyland California: although they share a name with the classic bourboun cocktail, the Disneyland Mint Juleps are non-alcoholic. Alcohol is only served at Blue Bayou and Oga’s Catina in Disneyland Park but it is widely available in Disneyland California Adventure.
14 | Frozen Banana
Location: Various Snack Carts
Frozen chocolate-covered bananas are one of our favorite snacks on a sunny day in Disneyland California. We love this crushed peanut frozen banana – the combination of chocolate, banana and peanut is perfection!
Best Snacks Disneyland California: the frozen snacks are usually extra frozen at Disney so you might have to wait a couple of minutes for them to defrost a little!
15 | The Grey Stuff
Location: Red Rose Taverne, Fantasyland
Menu Description: Red Shortbread Cookie, Red Velvet Cake, Raspberry, Cookies & Cream Mousse, and Sprinkles
Mobile Order: Yes
Inspired by a scene from Beauty and the Beast (where Lumiere presents Belle with sweet treats, including the Grey Stuff, on her first night at Beast’s Castle), the Grey Stuff is available at the Red Rose Taverne.
It tastes like a red velvet cake surrounded by whipped cookies and cream, sprinkled with Oreos and with a fresh raspberry in the middle!
Best Snacks at Disneyland California: the Grey Stuff is a love it or hate it kind of Disneyland snack! Even in our family of 5, opinons on the Grey Stuff are divided! It’s certainly worth a try, especially if you are a Beauty and the Beast fan.
16 | Blue and Green Milk
Location: Milk Stand, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Menu Description: Plant-based blend of Coconut and Rice Milk with alluring fruity characteristics (Blue Milk) / with zippy citrus and tropical characteristics (Green Milk)
Mobile Order: Yes
A Galaxy’s Edge signature drink, it’s almost a Disney rite of passage to order Batuu’s legendary blue or green milk from the Milk Stand. The milk is coconut and rice milk based – we think the blue milk tastes like blueberries, while the green is a more citrus, limey taste.
17 | Pickles
Location: Various Snack Carts throughout the park
If you want a tasty and fresh snack then look no further than the Disneyland pickles! They’re cold, crunchy and refreshing and pretty cheap compared to most of the other snack options in the park!
Best Snacks Disneyland California: if you purchase the first pickle sold at the Main Street Cart you are awarded with a badge stating ‘I’m celebrating First Pickle of the Day!’
18 | Bao
Location: The Tropical Hideaway, Adventureland
Menu Description: Sweet sticky Roasted Pork, in a sweet BBQ Sauce dusted with Paprika
Mobile Order: No
Available in pork (our favorite), spiced vegetable and lime chicken, the Tropical Hideaway Bao are soft and fluffy and the fillings are flavorful.
Overlooking Jungle Cruise and adjacent to the Tiki Room, The Tropical Hideaway offers open-air dining in a fabulous tropical setting.
We love to order a mix of snacks from Tropical Hideway and Benegal BBQ (we order the Dole Whip, bao and lumpia from Tropical Hideaway and the bacon-asparagus Safari Skewers from the nearby Bengal BBQ, all featured on this list of our best snacks in Disneyland California) and grab a waterfront table to watch the Jungle Cruise boats pass by.
19 | Garlic Cheesy Pretzel Bread
Location: Maurice’s Treats and Edelweiss Snacks, Fantasyland
Menu Description: Pretzel Bread stuffed with Cheesy Garlic Spread
Mobile Order: No
The Garlic Cheesy Pretzel Bread is an awesome savory treat available in Maurice’s and Edelweiss in Fantasyland.
The pretzel bread is soft and salty and the cheesy garlic spread is warm and comforting. A portion of marinara sauce is available to order separately for dipping.
20 | Jalapeno Cheese Filled Pretzel
Location: Pretzel carts in Adventureland and Frontierland, Refreshment Corner Main Street U.S.A
Menu Description: Warm Jalapeño Cheese-filled Pretzel
Mobile Order: Mobile Order available at Refreshment Corner only
Crispy on the outside with a warm cheese center, this is another of our savory snack favorites in Disneyland California.
The jalapeno kick isn’t worth mentioning so don’t be concerned if you’re not a huge fan of spice (we are and would love this to be more fiery!).
21 | Tigger Tail
Location: Pooh Corner, Critter Country
Mobile Order: No
There are two things we love in Critter Country: riding The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and eating a marshmallow Tigger Tail! The Tigger Tail is a huge marshmallow dipped in a caramel and orange flavored coating with dark chocolate to give the Tigger effect.
22 | Matterhorn Macaroon
Location: Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe
Mobile Order: Yes
Another Jolly Holiday inclusion in our list of best snacks in Disneyland California!
Inspired by the rollercoaster and the mountain itself, the Matterhorn Macaroon is a delicious coconut-flavored macaroon. Topped in white chocolate and sugar, the snow-capped macaroon is perfectly cooked and makes for a filling treat.
23| Seasonal Macarons at Jolly Holiday
Location: Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe
Mobile Order: Yes (although some days it may only be available in person)
Jolly Holly has the macaron game down! The flavor changes seasonally but the presentation and taste are always excellent.
A cherry vanilla macron is currently on the menu but we’re still dreaming of the Raspberry Mickey Macaroons that saw us into the beginning of 2024!
24 | Lobster rolls
Location: Harbour Galley, Critter Country
Menu Description: Seasoned Lobster with Celery and Onions on a Buttered Roll topped with fresh Chives and served with Chips
Mobile Order: Yes
If you are a lobster roll fan, this Disneyland take on the New England classic is a great snack option.
The lobster is fresh and generous and, as seafood fans, we love enjoying this snack along the Rivers of America Waterfront.
25| Breakfast Chimichanga
Location: Ship to Store Marketplace, Frontierland (close to the entrance of Big Thunder Mountain)
The Chimichanga is a hearty and delicious on-the-go breakfast option in Frontierland. The deep-fried tortilla is loaded with scrambled eggs, cheese and sausage and is really filling.
26 | Wookie Ookie
Location: Milk Stand, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Mobile Order: Yes
The Wookie Ookie (not to be confused with the Wookie Cookie!) is a chocolate shortbread cookie with pecans and a salted caramel center. It tastes like a cross between a brownie and a cookie and the pecans are soft and chewy. The salted caramel center is delicious and completes the Wookie Ookie perfectly!
Best Snacks at Disneyland California: the Wookie Ookie was introduced as a Life Day Snack in November 2023. We were still able to purchase a Wookie Ookie at the Milk Stand in January 2024 (we just had to wait a few minutes for a fresh batch to arrive!) so hopefully this will be a permanent addition to the Milk Stand menu! If not, keep an eye out for Star Wars themed snacks around May 4th and Life Day on November 17th.
27 | Funnel Cake
Location: Stage Door Cafe, Frontierland
Menu Description: with Powdered Sugar and Whipped Cream (Classic) / with Strawberry Sauce, Powdered Sugar and Whipped Cream (Strawberry)
Mobile Order: Yes
Deep-fried, dusted with sugar and topped with whipped cream, the classic funnel cake is one of the sweetest treats at Disneyland. Available in both the Stage Door Cafe and the Hungry Bear Restaurant, there are some fun funnel cake combinations to try!
Best snacks at Disneyland California: over in Critter Country, the Hungry Bear Restaruant offers a classic and a churro Funnel Cake. The Churro Funnel Cake is topped with Cinnamon Sugar, Caramel Sauce, Vanilla Ice Cream and Whipped Topping. A mix of churro and funnel cake, it’s perfect if you want the best of both worlds!
28 | Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treat
Location: Candy Palace, Candy Kitchen, Pooh Corner
The confectionery counters at Disneyland California are full to the brim of cake pops, cookies and cupcakes but it’s this old-school Rice Krispie treat that steals the show for us! Smothered in melted chocolate and crispy M&Ms and shaped like Mickey Mouse, these are one of our favorite snacks in Disneyland!
29 | Chocolate Chip Cookies (New Snack Alert!)
Location: Harbour Galley, Critter Country
Menu Description: Fresh-baked Chocolate Chip Cookies
Mobile Order: Yes
Served fresh from the oven, these Harbour Gallery cookies are a 2024 Disneyland snack sensation! Sold in packs of 6 or 13, the cookies are delicious. Availability can be sporadic (sometimes the cookies are only available at weekends, sometimes only by mobile order) and they are sure to sell out quickly.
30 | Oga’s Obsession
Location: Oga’s Cantina, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Menu Description: Minute Maid® Premium Lemonade, Cotton Candy Flavor, Blueberry Flavor-filled Boba, with a bursting Dried Fruit Mixture
Mobile Order: no, reservations are required (or join the walk-up line)
Another Oga’s Catina favorite, Oga’s Obsession is pretty much Jello with Pop Rocks (which we all agreed were the highlight of the dish!). It’s also a great snack to amuse the kids while mom and dad enjoy a cocktail!
Best snacks in Disneyland California: Oga’s Cantina is an extremely popular location in Disneyland California so we’d definitely recommend reserving well in advance. Dining reservations typically open 60 days in advance so grab a slot as soon as possible!
