With a late flight arrival into Paris we opted for the convenience of an airport hotel to rest our heads before a weekend jaunt into the city. The citizenM was our hotel of choice and, after a short walk from the terminal, we arrived at the very cool and very welcoming citizenM Charles de Gaulle. Tres bien!

Our self check in on the lobby tablets was smooth and swift and our room keys were in our hand within moments.
The Bedroom
The bedrooms have a very modern feel and are based on a capsule concept with a large and extremely comfortable king size bed dominating the space. The rooms are the same width as the length of the bed. This might sound small but they are so well equipped that the compact layout really works. The lighting is excellent with a wall to wall window lining one side of the room and relaxing mood lighting replaces the natural light in the evenings.
The hotel is high tech and a Samsung tablet controls the lighting, blinds and television. Wi-fi is included and the movies are also complementary.
Despite the small room size there’s plenty of storage with both underbed and wardrobe options as well as an in room safe. There’s also a desk and some chairs to relax on but the bed is so comfy and perfectly aligned with the television that the chairs were mostly redundant!
A sink and vanity area is positioned in the hallway and the pod shaped bathroom houses the toilet and shower. The room, and hotel, is filled with cute quotes which adds to the fun!

Our room had a fab view of the Air France Concorde on display at Charles de Gaulle. A bonus for all of us plane lovers!
The Lobby
The citizenM knows how to work a lobby that’s for sure! The area is laid out like a very cool apartment and we couldn’t resist its call to hang out for the evening. There were lots of guests relaxing in the bar and the lounge and the laid back, hip vibe meant we almost forgot we were in an airport hotel at all!

Happy colours!Love the words of wisdom!
Food and Drinks
We grabbed some snacks in the bar and the food, while not amazing, is perfectly good for an airport hotel. Let’s face it, we’re never going to find a Michelin Star restaurant at the airport and we were pleased with the salad and curry that we grabbed! Our free citizen drinks were delicious and we enjoyed a well made mojito and a cold beer while we relaxed.

Location
The hotel is located a 5 minute walk from Terminal 3. We arrived into Terminal 1 and took the free shuttle, which runs every few minutes, to Terminal 3 and walked from there. The hotel is located at the Continental Square exit and a covered walkway leads straight to the hotel. It was great to be able to walk back and forth between the hotel and the airport rather than have to wait for transport. The next morning we took the train into Paris from the airport station for our weekend of fun!
Overall
The citizenM is warm, welcoming, bright and well priced and, with the same model applied to all their hotels, we knew exactly what to expect from the room and facilities. We loved the compact and modern feel of the hotel and the super comfy bed is worth every cent of the room rate!
We had a great stay at the citizenM Charles de Gaulle and will even dare to say that the hotel even puts the fun into an airport stopover!
See it’s FUN!
Excellent hotel for an airport hotel. Well worth a visit
