Disneyland Paris Hotels tip: we’ve stayed at all 6 onsite hotels (Disneyland Hotel, Marvel, Santa Fe, Sequoia Lodge, Newport Bay Club and Cheyenne) in recent months. Disneyland Paris Disney Hotels tip: four of the onsite Disney Hotels (Disneyland Hotel, Sequoia Lodge, New York Art of Marvel and Newport Bay Club) offer a mix of regular and club rooms. Many guests enjoy the upgrade to Club Rooms to benefit from the Club Lounge where breakfast, snacks, afternoon tea and non-alcoholic drinks are available. Club bedrooms are typically larger and have additional amenities like kettles, fridges and robes and guests also enjoy benfits including a dedicated check in area. In the Disneyland Hotel, the Princesses visits guests of the Castle Club rooms during breakfast.
Benefits of staying in a Disneyland Paris Hotel
Disneyland Paris hotels come at a premium so the first question you’re probably asking yourself is why stay onsite at Disneyland Paris? There are so many benefits of staying at a Disneyland Paris hotel making it well worth staying onsite:
- Extra Magic Hour: one of the greatest perks of staying onsite at Disneyland Paris is Extra Magic Hour. As a Disney hotel guest, you are granted early access to both the Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios Park. This means you can access many of the most popular rides when queue times are minimal and enjoy the park with limited crowds.
- Hotel Character Meets: another awesome perk is the hotel-specific meet and greets. Every morning or evening, a Disney character visits each of the 5 onsite hotels for a character meet and photo with guests. Queues can be long for meet and greets in the parks so this is a wonderful opportunity to meet the characters without the long queues:
- Cheyenne/Sequoia: Mickey or Friends visit Sequoia in the morning and Woody or Jessie visit Cheyenne in the morning
- Newport Bay/ Santa Fe: Mickey or Friends visit in the evening
- Marvel: one of the Marvel superheroes visits the hotel’s Superhero Station (hotel guests can pre-book a slot)
- Disneyland Hotel: Princess Meet and Greet at a Disney Royal Encounter (hotel guests can pre-book a slot)
Disneyland Paris hotels tip: we’ve stayed at the 5 onsite hotels in the last few months and have met so many characters – we saw Minnie and Pluto at Santa Fe, Max and Goofy at Sequoia, Woody and Jessie at Cheyenne, Thor at Marvel and Daisy and Mickey at NewPort Bay.
- Wonderful Theming: the onsite hotels have some great theming and are a real treat to stay in. Santa Fe (Cars) and Cheyenne (Toy Story) are great for younger kids and the Art of Marvel is an obvious choice for Marvel fans. Sequoia (US National Park theme) and Newport Bay (nautical theme) also have strong themes although not Disney-specific.
- Walk to park/free shuttle: we love being able to walk to and from both of the Disneyland Paris Parks. The Disneyland Hotel is located at the entrance of Disneyland Park so you can walk from the hotel to the Castle in a couple of minutes! The Art of Marvel is less than a 10-minute walk, Newport and Sequoia are a 10 to 15-minute walk and Cheyenne and Santa Fe are around 15 minutes. The hotels all run frequent (and free) shuttles to and from the park if you prefer the bus option – the shuttles usually run every 12 minutes.
- Daytime downtime: for us, most Disney days start at around 7:45am when we leave our hotel to walk to the parks for Extra Magic Hour. By 11am our kids (5,3 and under 1) are in need of some downtime and it’s such a bonus to be able to walk back to our hotel. As well as chilling out in our room our kids love swimming at Newport Bay, Sequoia, the Disneyland Hotel or Art of Marvel and colouring in Toy Story pics in the lobby of Cheyenne.
- Free Parking: we’ve always driven to Disney so free parking onsite is an awesome bonus of staying in a Dinsey hotel. Parking at Disneyland Paris cost EUR 30 a day if you stay elsewhere and drive to the park and is complementary at the onsite hotels.
- Shopping delivered to your hotel: if you spend a certain amount in a store (usually EUR 50) you can enquire about hotel delivery. If the store is participating they will arrange for your purchases to be transferred to your hotel and you can pick them up at your hotel gift shop after 8pm on the same day. It’s brilliant not having to worry about purchases while your on the rides or having to carry about large items for the day.
- Gift stores/ PhotoPass: each of the Disney Hotels have beautiful gift stores where you can pick up Disneyland Paris souvenirs. They stock a wide range of popular souvenirs and you can often spot a unique item in one of the themed hotels – the Marvel Hotel has some exclusive Marvel items in its gift store while the Santa Fe has some great Cars merchandise. The hotel gift stores also sell PhotoPass cards and merchandise which is really convenient.
- Free hot drink every day: this is a little-known Disney hotel perk! A free hot drink per guest is available daily from the hotel vending machines in hotels where there are no in room tea/coffee facilities. Guest can use their Magic Pass (the room key) in the vending machine to avail of this offer. I didn’t see any vending machines when we stayed at the Marvel Hotel (there are tea/coffee-making facilities in Marvel bedrooms and Newport Bay has recently provided facilities in rooms) but I’ve tried and tested this in Cheyenne, Santa Fe, and Sequoia Lodge and highly recommend the hot chocolate!
- Immerse yourself in a Disney bubble: Disneyland Paris is a magical place and a visit is almost like being wrapped in a wonderful bubble of Disney. I always find that staying onsite helps to prolong the magic!

There are loads of benefits to booking a hotel and ticket package. We always book our hotels and tickets directly with Disneyland Paris:
- Park tickets: Park tickets are included when you book a package through disneylandparis.com. Park tickets are included from your day of arrival to your day of departure and are heavily discounted as part of the package. We’ve always priced up booking an offsite hotel and tickets separately (we need tickets for 2 adults and 2 children) and the savings are minimal – depending on your ticket needs or if you don’t want to go to the park every day you might find it better to book separately.
- price hotels on booking.com
- price park tickets directly through Disneyland Paris – (check prices now! ) and Attraction tickets (check prices now! )
- allow for the cost of parking if necessary (Eur 30 per day at the park)
- we usually find that the Disney hotel packages offer better value
- Princess Dining/Character Dining: Princess dining and character breakfasts and dinners are a fantastic experience at Disneyland Paris. They are also hugely popular and can be hard to come by. One of the bonuses of a hotel and tickets package is that you can reserve these three extras at the time of booking your package or add them at a later date (you can do this by logging into your account on disneylandparis.com and adding extras). Disney Hotel guests are also able to reserve lunch at the Royal Banquet, the Disneyland Hotel character dining with Mickey and Minnie and friends.
- Early access to Dining Reservations: Disneyland Paris hotel guests can reserve dining up to 12 months in advance (versus 2 months for regular guests). This is the best way to ensure reservations at the most popular restaurants including Captain Jack’s, Walt and Downtown in the Art of Marvel.
- Special offers: DisneylandParis.com is currently offering a free 12-month subscription to Disney+ for hotel and ticket packages. There is also a current option to pay in instalments on the Disneyland Paris reservations – you can pay 15% on reserving and the balance by 60 days prior to departure.

Disneyland Paris Hotels: Guide and Our Review
If you are trying to decide between each of the Disneyland Paris hotels then read on for our overview and review of each of the 5 onsite hotels:
1 | Disney Hotel Cheyenne
Theme: Toy Story/ Wild West
Stars: 3* – check availability and prices here!
Fridge/Kettle in room: No (there is a Starbucks beside the hotel reception)
Swimming Pool: No
Laundry Facilities: Yes
Character meets: Woody and Jessie from Toy Story
Walk time to park: 13 minutes
Our Disney Hotel Cheyenne review:
The Wild West styled Hotel Cheyenne is a fantastic 3* option at Disneyland Paris. The rooms are clean and well-equipped and Toy Story fans will love the decor – there are cowboy boot-shaped lamps, Toy Story artwork on the walls and, of course, the Woody and Jessie meet and greets. The rooms are reasonably spacious for families and there was plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children to relax.
Our kids are huge Toy Story fans and Cheyenne was a big hit with them.
Character Meet and Greet: we met Woody on our most recent visit. There was a Photopass photographer available and we waited around 10 minutes. Jessie makes frequent appearances and often the characters swap every 30 minutes or so allowing you to meet both.
Disney Hotel Cheyenne:
The Toy Story/ Wild West themed Hotel Cheyenne is an awesome 3* option in Disneyland Paris and it often offers the best value of the onsite hotels. Cheyenne is an easy 15-minute walk to the parks and is laid out in the style of a Wild West Village.
Rooms are located in Wild West themed buildings surrounding the main building which houses the reception/ general store/restaurants. Facilities include a colouring in table for kids in the lobby, outdoor play forts and a laundry room (fee payable).

2 | Disney Hotel Santa Fe
Theme: Cars/ American Southwest/ Route 66
Stars: 2* – check availability and prices here!
Fridge/Kettle in room: No
Swimming Pool: No
Laundry Facilities: No
Character meets: Mickey Mouse and Friends
Walk time to park: 15 minutes
Our Disney Hotel Santa Fe review:
Santa Fe is a convenient and basic hotel located 15 minutes walk from the entrance to the parks.
Rooms are located in Cars named blocks in the grounds surrounding the main building. Rooms are compact and basic but are well equipped and colourful and make for a pleasant stay. There are lots of Cars touches from traffic coned lights and Cars adorned bed throws.
We stayed in a block at the back of the hotel and loved the adjacent parking, the easy access to the riverwalk to the park and the vending machines with our daily free drink in the building. Our 4 and 3-year-old loved the racetrack painted walkways, the small volcano and the Cars decor – my 4-year-old Cars fan was also very impressed with the gift shop where he picked up some Cars bath toys and a Cars souvenir coin!
Character Meet and Greet: we met Pluto and Minnie on two separate evenings during our most recent visit. There was a Photopass photographer available both evenings and we didn’t queue long.
Disney Hotel Santa Fe:
The Disney Hotel Santa Fe is Disneyland Paris’ onsite budget offering and typically offers the cheapest rates among the onsite hotels. The main building is home to the hotel reception, gift shop and hotel restaurants. Rooms are located in Cars named blocks in the grounds surrounding the main building and are basic, compact and functional. The Santa Fe is the longest walk from the park but it’s still easily walkable in less than 20 minutes.
3 | Disney Hotel Newport Bay Club

Fridge/Kettle in room: Kettle in the cupboard by side of TV, fridge in Compass Club Rooms

Our Disney Hotel Newport Bay Club review:
The Disney Hotel Newport Bay Club is one of the more traditional Disneyland Paris hotel offerings. The nautical theme is pleasant and the hotel has a lovely location on the edge of Lake Disney.
Our superior room (2 double beds) was spacious and we comfortably fit 2 adults, 2 children and an infant in a travel cot.
The kids’ highlight was the Nantucket swimming pool with its boat-shaped viewing deck and the two small children’s pools. We loved watching the hot air balloon rise above Lake Disney from our balcony and enjoyed the close proximity of the parks.
Character Meet and Greet: We met Minnie, Pluto and Daisy on our most recent visit to Newport Bay Club.
Disney Hotel Newport Bay Club:
Disney Hotel Newport Bay Club is one of the two 4* Disneyland Paris hotels (New York Art of Marvel is the other). The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk to the park through the Disney Village and effectively has its own private security check (guests from the other hotels all filter through the security check in front of the Marvel) which is a nice bonus at busy times.
Facilities include the Nantucket swimming pool, an excellent gift shop and dining options.
4 | Disney Hotel New York Art of Marvel
Theme: Marvel
Stars: 4* – check prices here!
Fridge/Kettle in room: Yes
Swimming Pool: Yes
Laundry facilities: No
Character meets: Marvel Superhero
Walk time to park: 10 minutes

Our Disney Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel review
A hotel with modern and spacious guest rooms (we comfortably fit 2 adults, 2 children and an infant in our superior room) and excellent facilities.
Our kids loved the swimming pool and had fun drawing in the Marvel Design Studio and we were huge fans of the cocktails in the Skyline Bar and dinner in the Downtown Restaurant.
The theming is fantastic: the artwork is incredible and the three full-size Iron Man costumes on display in the lobby are amazing.
Character Meet and Greet: Guests can prebook a timeslot for a Marvel Superhero Meet and Greet through the Disneyland Paris app from 7 days prior to arrival – we met Thor on our most recent visit.
Disney Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel
The 4* Hotel New York Art of Marvel is the most luxurious of the current Disneyland Paris Hotels.
With a New York style decor, the hotel walls are a Marvel art gallery with over 350 pieces on display. The rooms are modern and spacious and facilities include a swimming pool and health club, a Marvel Design Studio for kids to get creative and a Marvel themed shop.
Its restaurant, the Downtown, is one of the most sought after dinner reservations in Disneyland Paris.
5 | Disney Sequoia Lodge
Theme: US National Park Lodge
Stars: 3* – check availability and prices here!
Fridge/Kettle in room: No (only in Golden Forest Club rooms)
Swimming Pool: Yes
Laundry Facilities: No
Character meets: Mickey and Friends

Our Disney Sequoia Lodge review
The decor at Sequoia Lodge has a rustic feel with paved floors, bear statues and open fires – it did truly remind me of some of the lodges we stayed at in Zion and the Grand Canyon on a US National Park Road trip!
Rooms are basic but spacious and the rooms with two double beds easily accommodated our 2 adults, 2 children and an infant in a cot. Rooms are split between the main hotel building and the surrounding lodges – we prefer the rooms near the facilities (this is an option upon booking). Our room had 3 power sockets but I’ve read many guest reports saying their room only had one socket and they needed to bring an extension lead – something to consider if you are planning on staying at Sequoia Lodge.
Our children really enjoy Sequoia and list the slide in the swimming pool, the foosball tables (payable) and the Little Prarie Kids corner with cartoons and colouring as their highlights. For adults, there is a log cabin-style cosy bar with a roaring fire which is lovely for a drink after a day at the parks.
Character Meet and Greet: We meet Max, Pluto and Mickey on our most recent stay at Sequoia Lodge.
Disney Sequoia Lodge
Sequoia Lodge is one of two Disneyland Paris 3* hotel offerings alongside Hotel Cheyenne. Rooms are designed with a rustic feel and have an old-world charm. The hotel is a 12 minute walk to the park and one of the closest hotels alongside New York Art of Marvel and Newport Bay Club. Guest rooms are located in the main building or in the surrounding lodges on the hotel grounds.
The Quarry Pool has a fun slide (note, children are not allowed in the hotter pool) and there is a small kids corner on the ground floor.
6 | Disneyland Hotel

Our Disneyland Hotel review
A celebration of Disney Royalty, the 5* Disneyland Hotel invites guests to immerse themselves in a royal story.
Everything about the Disneyland Hotel, from the rooms to the restaurants and its location, is fabulous. It offers a true 5* flagship hotel experience at Disneyland Paris.
The bedrooms and general guest areas are magnificent and the execution of the royal theming is impressive. However, it is a combination of this, the wonderful customer service and the exclusive guest experiences that make the Disneyland Hotel such an amazing place to stay.
We absolutely love the Disneyland Hotel and made sure to experience as much as possible! We ate at all of the hotel restaurants, including the Royal Banquet and La Table de Lumiere, met the Princesses at the Royal Encounter, shopped in the boutique and swam in the pool! Our children enjoyed the Royal Kids Club, had a royal makeover at My Royal Dream and met more Princesses than they dreamed of!
We had an amazing time at the Disneyland Hotel and can’t wait to return (in fact, we’ve booked another stay at the beginning of 2025 so we can experience the hotel again!).

Thank you for this awesome breakdown of the hotels at Disneyland Paris! I’m researching options for a trip in the future and this is exactly the info I’ve been looking for. I love that the hotels have meet-and-greets with the characters, which is something you don’t generally get to experience at the WDW Resort Hotels. Do the shuttles run continuously from the hotels to the park, or is there a schedule?
Hi Lindsey, the hotel shuttles run ever 12 minutes from each hotel so it’s pretty frequent.
