For those planning a visit, we have put together an overview of the upcoming ride, show and swimming pool closures at Disneyland Paris so you know what to expect. We update this list of ride closures as frequently as possible to ensure it is up to date.
Disneyland Paris ride closures: Disneyland Paris update their schedule regulary to reflect the next 3 months. We don’t see the reopening date of a ride until the calendar updates the day it is due to open – so for rides where the reopening date is still to be confirmed, this means that they are not scheduled to open within the schedule dates currently released.

Disneyland Paris has a rolling schedule of ride closures to allow ride maintenance to take place. These ride closures are usually announced in advance, 2 or 3 months out.
Remember, Secure the Best Price by Booking Early
One of the most important things to remember when booking a visit to Disneyland Paris is to BOOK EARLY! The hotel and ticket packages tend to be at their least expensive when they are first released and, as availability decreases, the prices continue to increase. So even if you’re planning to visit during typical lower-cost, off-peak periods, you will still want to reserve as early as possible so you can benefit from the best price.

Experience Disney Music Festival this Summer!
There are currently some fantastic hotel and ticket packages available and we love the Experience Disney Music Festival this Summer – for example, you can book Disney Hotel Cheyenne for £112 per person, per night! This price is based on 2 adults and 2 children for a 4-night stay and a 5-day ticket package, for arrivals between July 23rd 2025 and August 30th 2025. The price includes a 5-day Disneyland Paris ticket per person and the price is also inclusive of local taxes.
So, for 2 adults and 2 children (age 3 to 11), you can stay at Disney Hotel Cheyenne for 4 nights and enjoy 5 park days for a total price of £1,777.90 and that is during the school holidays! This includes 4 nights in a Woody’s Roundup Standard Room at Disney Hotel Cheyenne and includes a 5-day Disneyland Paris ticket per person. Walt Disney Studios Refurbishment
Disneyland Paris is made up of two parks, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park and Walt Disney Studios Park is undergoing a major refurbishment during 2024 through 2025.. Expect to see lots of temporary walls, the closure of Studio 1 and lots of building work as the park transforms.

Disneyland Park
- (LONG TERM CLOSURE CONFIRMED) Big Thunder Mountain: closing on January 6, 2025 and will be closed until the summer. We’ll be riding it as often as possible in the meantime!
- Le Pays des Contes de Fées: January 6 to January 9
- Casey Jr. – le Petit Train du Cirque: January 6 to January 9
- Le Passage Enchanté d’Aladdin: January 6 to January 17
- “it’s a small world”: January 20 to January 31
- Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing: January 6 through all of February. No reopening date has been announced yet.
February 2025 Disneyland Paris Ride Closures
Disneyland Park
- Big Thunder Mountain: closing on January 6, 2025 and closed through to the summer. No reopening date has been announced.
- Star Tours: The Adventure Continues: closing February 3 2025 and will reopen March 1.
March 2025 Disneyland Paris Ride Closures
Disneyland Park
- Big Thunder Mountain: closing on January 6, 2025 and closed through to the summer. No reopening date has been announced.
- Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain: March 10th to March 11th
- Carousel: March 10th to March 21st
- Orbitron: March 23rd, reopening date to be confirmed.
Walt Disney Studios
- Crush’s Coaster: closed 10th to 22nd March
Disneyland Paris Show Closures 2024/25
Disneyland Paris runs a jam-packed show schedule every day (we highly recommend watching at least one of the live shows during your visit as they are absolutely incredible!). Each show takes a scheduled break from performances which is announced 3 months in advance:
- Frozen: A Musical Invitation: closed from November 4 to February 14
- Mickey and the Magician: scheduled break from 6 January to 20 April, 2025.
Disneyland Paris Hotel Swimming Closures 2024 and 2025
We know how important a swimming pool is, especially if you have selected a hotel for its pool (which we often do!). Annual maintenance means the hotel swimming pools close routinely and these are announced well in advance so you can plan around closures:
- Disneyland Hotel: January 6 to January 18 2025
- Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel: March 17 to March 29 2025
- Disney Newport Bay Club: September 29 to October 11 2025
- Disney Sequoia Lodge: March 3 to March 15 2025
- Disney Davy Crockett Ranch: November 17 to November 29 2025
- Explorers: January 13 to January 18 2025
Disneyland Paris ride closures: hotel guests are often (but not always) granted access to the swimming pool of another hotel when their own hotel swimming pool is closed. For example, Marvel guests may be sent to Sequoia Lodge or Newport Bay Club. For guests of Explorers (a non-Disneyland Paris hotel) the Dream Castle or Magic Circle are part of the same hotel group and are often offered as alternatives.
